Instructor Bios:

Chris BartonMr. Chris Barton is currently the Director of Business Acquisition for FloaTEC, LLC, the JV between J Ray McDermott and Keppel FELS responsible for delivering deepwater floating production systems. Chris graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He has over 26 years' experience in the upstream oil and gas industry working for McDermott, ABB, PennWell and Technip. Chris spent 18 years overseas working in Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, China, and Egypt. Areas of expertise include executive management, marketing and sales, bidding and estimating, business development, project management, construction site supervision, offshore operations, and field development work. His experience also covers business-to-business publishing and the development and management of industry conferences and events.

Frank Lim Dr. Frank Lim is Principal Director of 2H Offshore, a company that has pioneered technologies for riser systems that are now deployed in deepwater regions around the world. Dr. Lim’s offshore oil and gas career began in 1983 upon graduation in the UK, and continued through numerous projects in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and Brazil, until recently when he turned his interests to deepwater projects in the Asia Pacific, supporting them from the 2H Kuala Lumpur regional office he set up more than a year ago. A fellow of the British Institution of Mechanical Engineers, he is a regular author of technical papers and speaker at conferences.

Cancellations / Refunds:

Cancellations made through March 31, 2010 will receive a refund, less the non-refundable registration fee of $200. Refunds are not available after March 31, 2010. Substitutions for individuals enrolled may be made at any time. ASME-IPTI reserves the right to cancel a course if enrollment is insufficient to ensure maximum effectiveness. This decision is made approximately two weeks before the course begins. If this occurs, enrollees will receive a full refund or be given the opportunity to transfer to another course date. Keep our cancellation policy in mind when making airline reservations, as ASME-IPTI cannot be responsible for fees charged for canceling or changing your airline ticket. Students are responsible for handling all travel arrangements and the costs associated with their travel.
