This page contains important information for Presenting Authors and Session Chairs at OMAE 2010. If you are presenting at the conference please read this page carefully for updates on audiovisual equipment, presenter introductions, and length of presentations.
ALL PRESENTING AUTHORS
Please review the information below and plan your presentation within the guidelines with respect to length of presentation and the use of available audio-visual equipment. This will help you and the Session Chairs prepare for your presentation at OMAE 2010.
PRESENTATION DATE AND TIME
To determine the date and time of your presentation please visit the OMAE 2010 website (http://www.asmeconferences.org/OMAE2010/index.cfm), click on Program Overview, expand the Symposium in which you are presenting, expand the session to which you have been assigned and look for the date and time beside “Session Schedule”. Presentation rooms will be listed in the OMAE 2010 Program which you will receive on-site.
ALLOCATED TIME FOR PRESENTATIONS
Each presenter has a total of 20 minutes (approximately 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions/comments) for their presentation. The length of presentations will strictly be monitored by the Session Chairs.
AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT
NEW FOR OMAE 2010: OMAE will provide a laptop loaded with Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, a data projector, and screen in each session room for presentations. Presenters are asked to bring their presentation on a USB Memory stick or CD to their session room 30 minutes prior to the start of their session to load their presentation. Presenters are requested not to use their own laptop for their presentation in order to avoid delays in changing laptops. If you are working with presentation software other than PowerPoint, please save your presentation as a Microsoft Windows PowerPoint compatible file (filename ends with .PPT). Computers in Meeting Rooms WILL NOT support Mac file formats or any presentation software other than Windows PowerPoint.
All presenters are asked to be in their presentation room at the start of the session and stay for all presentations out of courtesy to the other presenters.
